People at work can suffer injury or illness. It doesn't matter whether or not this is caused by their work. What is important is that employers have made arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention. This could make the difference between life and death.

Our full 3 day course and our 2 day refresher give you the opportunity to practise essential skills and give you the confidence to carry them out in an emergency.

The qualification covers the following topics

• The aims of First Aid
• Legislation
• Unconsciousness
• CPR
• Airway problems
• Circulation problems
• Wounds and bleeding
• Burns and scalds
• Injuries to bones muscles and joints
• Hypothermia/heat stroke
  
• Diabetes
• Poisoning

Duration   Full course - 3 days
                   Requalification  - 2 days

ANNUAL HSE RECOMENDED HALF DAY REFRESHER

HSE strongly recommends that first-aiders undertake annual refresher training, over half a day, during any three-year FAW/EFAW certification period. Although not mandatory, this will help qualified first-aiders maintain their basic skills and keep up to date with any changes to first-aid procedures.
